Best of Tonga's Whales - 2016 Pictorial

Trip Date: Sep 27th - Sep 27th, 2016 - Comments

Alright, for the third straight year, we bring you the 2016 Best of Tonga Pictorial! We have combed through the hundreds of photos contributed by dozens of photographers from this whale-swimming season in Tonga to come up with the 30 best! We divided photos into several categories: breach, calf, surface activity, single whale, group of whales, mother & calf, snorkelers with whales and non-whale photos. We congratulate those who made the cut and commend those who didn't on a job well done - we know the competition was fierce.

Of course, it involved many difficult decisions, but here they are... THE BEST OF THE BEST!

“Fiji is a hot spot of biodiversity. We’re here for the rich colorful soft coral reefs as well as the unusual stuff - the strange little creatures and endemic fishes.”
